Round Robin: Pass and Paste Senders Choice

Welcome to Pass and Paste, a beloved project among us Snail Mail Members! This collaborative mail art endeavor invites participants to create stunning postcards together.

Here's how it works:

1. Use heavy cardstock to create a sturdy postcard, ensuring it can withstand the postal system.

2. Divide the front into four equal sections, so each participant can decorate one section.

3. Divide the back into thirds. Use one-third for your address, written clearly. Don't place any stamps, as the postcard's last stop may not be the same country. Leave room for a postage stamp.

4. The remaining two-thirds are divided into four equal sections. If you decorated section 1 on the front, write in section 1 on the back. Include your username and Pass & Paste swap ID.

5. Decorate your assigned section, securely adhere items to withstand postal handling. And send it out in an envelope to your assigned partner.

* Send the postcard without an envelope in the last round.

As the postcard circulates, other participants will contribute, resulting in a beautiful, collective artwork showcasing diverse styles and ideas.

Remember, creativity knows no bounds in Pass and Paste! Have fun and enjoy the art of collaboration.

We're currently working on the Round Robin page. If you encounter issues, please try again later.

Due to the Round Robin having its separate process page, it unintentionally appeared in your regular Swaptracker. Rest assured, we're correcting this as we speak. You might experience a temporary overlap. Our apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Access your Round Robin, update swap statuses, and mark swaps as received—all managed in one place:

[Swaptracker], [Round Robin].

This process sets it apart from regular swaps and Tag-You're-Its.

Hello👋🏻. I just signed up!  I'm looking forward to beta testing this.  It's a great idea to have this private blog to go along with it.  It has long been a pet leave of mine sending out the art that never gets returned!

I have an interesting mail art story for you.  Well over 10 years ago I sent out a deco book.  The theme was "my favorite artist". The idea was to send the boook to your favorite mail artist, & they send it to their favorite etc.  well I sent it to "fast eyes". I loved her irreverent humor.  The book never came home to me.

About a month ago I was researching mail art for an upcoming class I'm teaching and came across an international site.  I popped in & made an account.  Within minutes who tags me with a hello...."fast eyes!"  She told me she doesn't do much mail art anymore as her eyes are not as reliable as they used to be.  It sure was fun hearing from here though!

Collaboration swaps are like creating a masterpiece, especially when they safely find their way back home. I'm sorry to hear about your lost swap, but it's wonderful that you had a unique (!) round robin experience reconnecting online ;)

I'm optimistic the SMF round robin, with its progress updates, can significantly enhance the experience for everyone involved. These updates keep participants in the loop about the swap's progress and simplify the job for hosts. The ultimate goal is to make the entire process smooth and enjoyable for everyone. (and all suggestions are welcome!!)

When your card arrives after the first round, the 'Update your swap progress' option in your Round Robin will become active.

You can access your Round Robin from your dashboard or through the menu [Swaptracker], [Round Robin].

The deadline for sending cards in the first round is November 4th, which is visible in your acrive round tracker and event details.

Any updates on the Round Robin swaps from @Capybara ? The prolonged process is causing delays for other swaps within this Round Robin. While I understand that delays can happen, it's unfortunate.

Hope they arrive soon. 🐌📮
