Round Robin: Christmas envelope flipbook

Are you ready to spread some holiday cheer through the magic of snail mail? Join our Christmas Snail Mail Round Robin and connect with fellow crafters as you create and share festive envelope flipbooks that capture the spirit of the season!

What’s this all about?

This round robin swap is a collaborative, creative journey where participants craft a Christmas-themed envelope flipbook that will travel from one person to the next. Each participant will receive the flipbook, add their own decorations, notes, and Christmas goodies, and then pass it along to their assigned partner. By the end, your flipbook will return to you, filled with holiday joy and creative touches from around the world!

How does It work?

  • Round 1: Get crafty!
Start by creating an envelope flipbook with 4 envelopes (approximately C6 size: 162 x 114 mm). Decorate the first envelope with your own festive Christmas design and include a letter for each participant to enjoy. Your letter could share a cherished family tradition, a favorite holiday memory, or something meaningful to you during the Christmas season. Don’t forget to add a mail tag (or one for each participant) with a few fun questions or prompts for the next participant to answer in their letter or note. Please make sure your swap ID is clearly visible so it can be accurately registered in each round! • Round 2: Pass it on!
When you receive the first flipbook, decorate one envelope, add a letter, and include some flat holiday goodies (like Christmas papers, washi tape, stickers, etc.). Then, pass it on again to your assigned partner.

  • Round 3: Continue the Fun!
In this round, the third envelope is decorated, add a letter and goodies, and pass the flipbook on again.

  • Round 4: The grand Christmas finale!
In Round 4, the last envelope is decorated, goodies added and wrap the entire flipbook as a Christmas present before sending it back to the original creator. By this time, your flipbook will be filled with festive decorations and goodies from all participants!

Who can join?

We’re looking for 4 enthusiastic participants who love Christmas crafting and the charm of snail mail. If you enjoy creating festive, handmade items and sharing them with others, this swap is perfect for you.

Important Points:

  1. Commitment required:
You need to be fully committed to participate, as each round requires time and effort.

  2. International shipping costs:
Be prepared for potentially higher postage costs since this is an international swap.

  3. Timeliness is crucial:
Sending on time is crucial. Delays or disruptions in the chain can halt the Round Robin, potentially leaving participants without their completed project!

  4. Tracked shipping recommend for final round:
To ensure your flipbook arrives safely in the last round (busy time for postal systems), we strongly recommend using tracked shipping.

Why Join?

- Connect with fellow creative minds and share in the joy of Christmas crafting.
- Get inspired by the unique decorations and holiday ideas from each participant.
- Receive a fully decorated, Christmas-themed flipbook packed with goodies and festive cheer!

Navigating Round Robin features on mobile devices:

The Round Robin feature is quite extensive. If you're using Snail Mail Friends on a mobile device, all status options, including "Mark as received," may be located further down the page, so be sure to scroll down to find them. Important! When you receive your own flipbook back, don’t forget to finalize your Round Robin—this is essential for submitting your ratings. Without each member finalizing, the Round Robin cannot be closed.
