PostNL has announced changes to its postal rates effective from January 1, 2025. These changes will affect both domestic and international mail and package deliveries.
New rates for letters
Starting from January 1, 2025, the cost of sending a letter within the Netherlands will increase to €1.21 per stamp. For international letters, the basic rate will be €1.90.
In addition to these changes, PostNL will continue its tradition of releasing special "December stamps" towards the end of the year. These stamps are available at a discounted rate, intended for holiday cards. The rate for the 2024 December stamp will be €1.06, and a sheet of 20 December stamps will cost €21.20. These stamps will be available for purchase starting November 18, 2024, through the PostNL website, post offices, package points, and stamp vendors.
New rates for parcels
The cost of sending a parcel within the Netherlands will remain the same at €6.95 if you purchase the shipping label online. However, if you prefer to buy the shipping label at a PostNL service point, the price will rise to €8.25.
For international parcels, the rates vary depending on the destination and the weight of the package. Most of these rates will remain unchanged for those purchasing labels online, though there will be a higher price for customers purchasing shipping labels at a PostNL service point.
