Round Robin: Pass and Paste Postcard 2025-1

Get ready to embark on a creative journey where art meets collaboration. This unique mail art project brings participants together to craft beautiful, one-of-a-kind postcards. It’s a celebration of creativity, connection, and teamwork, resulting in a shared masterpiece that reflects the diverse styles and talents of everyone involved. Let’s make something truly special, together!

How it works

Prepare your postcard

  • Use heavy cardstock to create a sturdy postcard that can withstand the postal system.
  • Divide the front into four equal sections, allowing each participant to decorate one.
  • On the back, divide the left side into four sections for participants to write their messages.
  • Write your address on the right side of the back (as the owner of the card), leaving room for a postage stamp. Do not place any stamps yet—the postcard’s last stop may not be in the same country.

Start the process

  • As the owner, decorate section 1 on the front and write your message in section 1 on the back.
  • Include your username and Pass & Paste swap ID prominently on the card. Make the ID large and clear to ensure there’s no confusion when the card needs to be registered by the next participant.

Register and assign

  • Remember: When you receive a card, it’s always the owner’s ID that you register!
  • Decorate your assigned section securely, ensuring items are adhered firmly to withstand postal handling.

Send it on

  • Place the postcard in an envelope and send it to your assigned partner.
  • In the last round, send the postcard without an envelope so the final version can be experienced as intended.

The final product

As the postcard circulates, each participant will contribute their unique style and message. The end result will be a beautiful, collaborative artwork showcasing diverse ideas and creativity.

  • There is no theme, so feel free to decorate your section however you like.
  • Creativity knows no bounds in Pass and Paste—have fun and enjoy the art of collaboration!

Important notes

  • Beta feature: The Round Robin feature is currently in beta, so there may be occasional glitches. Please report any issues—no matter how minor—to help us improve the process.
  • Immediate start: The Round Robin will begin as soon as all spots are filled, so keep an eye out for your assignment!
  • Collaboration tips: Ensure your contributions are securely adhered to avoid damage during mailing, and always stay in touch if life circumstances arise that might delay your participation.
  • Important tip for mobile users:
If you’re using a mobile device, please note that the options for registering and rating your card will appear at the bottom of the page. Be sure to scroll down to check if any action is required. When you receive your card back, go to your Round Robin and look for the "Finalize" button. Remember, the Round Robin is not complete until you finalize it!

Let’s create something truly magical together!
