For this Rund Robin the theme is A day in the week of...
You do not document a whole week. You document one day from the week in which you receive the booklet. So if you get it on a Thursday you write about that Thursday. Someone else might get it on a Monday and write about that Monday. The days will be out of order which is part of the fun. Maybe the universe really wants to show us a lot of Wednesdays. Hard to predict. Here is what you actually do:
- You make one booklet in A6 size. That is about postcard sized. It travels well and does not get too heavy. Your booklet needs space for seven entries. One for you and six blanks for future participants.
- Make a cover and a back. It can be pretty or plain. Just make sure it can survive the mail. Then clearly write your Round Robin ID on the cover or inside so people know how to register it.
- Now do your part. Pick the day you receive it and record that day. Include your name, the weekday, and your entry. The entry can be a short story of your day, a list, tiny photos, doodles, whatever fits your style. No strict rules here. Just make sure it is about your day.
- Then you send it onward. Each person adds their day and passes it along. When it comes back to you at the end you have a tiny book of seven days from seven lives. Some people will write cozy domestic stuff, others will be stuck in traffic or running errands, and that mix is what makes it good.
