An introduction to Unity Hubs

Bring together a group of like-minded members, organize private group swaps, and grow your own corner of the Snail Mail Friends community.

Snail Mail Friends is a community where you can connect with others who share your interests and passions. If you’re looking to bring together a group of people around a common theme, creating a Unity Hub is a fun and easy way to do so.

As a Hub Creator

Bringing together a group within the Snail Mail Friends community is a fun way to connect with members who share your passions and interests. As a hub creator and owner, you can lead the group and organize private group swaps for your members.

Before creating a Unity Hub, check if a similar group already exists to avoid duplication. If there isn’t a hub that fits your interests, you can add a new one. As the Hub creator, you can set the group as either open for direct join or approval required, allowing you to control who becomes a member of your Unity Hub.

A new private forum topic is automatically created for members to interact and engage with everyone who joined your Hub.

Additionally, you can choose up to 3 members as event coordinators. These coordinators can plan and host their own private events within the selected hub, allowing them to forge meaningful connections with members who share similar passions and interests. As event coordinators, they can unleash their creativity as event creators — but their events stay exclusive to your private Unity Hub community.

As a Member

Joining a Unity Hub in the Snail Mail Friends community is a great way to connect with members with similar interests. Not only can you participate in private group swaps, you’ll also have access to a private forum where you can interact and engage with the other members of your Unity Hub.

This is a fantastic opportunity to connect with others who share the same passions, and to participate in exclusive events that are open only to members within your Hub.

Private forum & exclusive events

Every Unity Hub gets its own private forum topic so members have a dedicated space to share ideas, plan together and stay in touch — separate from the wider community boards.

On top of that, hub coordinators can host events that are visible only to members of the hub. It’s a calmer, more focused way to swap with people who already share your specific interest.
